Music Makers: Pre-Piano Prep
Ages: 4-7 years old (caregiver participation for final 15 minutes of class)

*Ideally, students will participate in both sessions but can join Session 2 without being enrolled in Session 1.
Course Description
RELEASE YOUR CHILD'S INNER COMPOSER! In this exciting, active and creative 45 minutes class, your child will be engaged in activities that establish a solid music making foundation. This 16 week sequential learning experience is divided into two eight week semesters and includes singing, creative as well as structured movement, playing instruments and ensemble work, ear training and guided listening. The introductory elements of music reading and theory are explored in fun games. Although there is no previous Musikgarten experience necessary, children who have participated in Family Music will begin to recognize the patterns they have been practicing in actual notation. This class is a perfect foundation for private instrument or voice lessons.
